There is incredible relief to be found in surrender.  Do not mistake this for giving up.  Surrender is not synonymous with defeat in fact, it is a posture of power.  The reality is, we are not in control.  Our human nature is to strive and manipulate and force outcomes to feed our desires.  This is exhausting.  Even with the best of intentions, we can negotiate with God to try and get what we want.  But there is a secret the devil does not want you to know – when we give our desires, our outcomes, our plans to God – miracles happen.  By surrendering to the wisdom of our Heavenly Father and relinquishing our death grip on our dreams, we actually take the limits off of God and give his power room to move.  There is tremendous relief in this act of faith and even a profound joy to be had in knowing that the creator of the universe has everything already figured out.  That even if you don’t understand or the odds look impossible, our infinitely creative God has countless solutions and avenues of deliverance you would have never considered or anticipated.  Take the pressure off.  It’s a futile weight you were never meant to carry.
